Advanced propulsion architecture

Making Efficient Space Exploration a Possibility

Rip Aero is focused on developing advanced propulsion architecture solutions for deep space and interplanetary travel.

Context

What's the Issue?

Problem

Materials that withstand extreme conditions will always be a technology the industry seeks. Access to space for exploration, resources, and scientific discovery is growing rapidly, but the demand for space infrastructure is not sufficiently supported by technology development and production at a cost-efficient, scalable rate.

Solution

Analyze various compositions of new materials in order to find an efficient solution for handling harsh environments, as well as high reusability through reduced thermal fatigue and greater performance margins.

How Does Rip Aero Help?

Our Role

We redefine efficiency in propulsion technology through novel materials development, new analysis solutions built on advanced iterative models, and cost-efficient manufacturing techniques.

About

Built for the journey beyond Earth

Our Mission

We create the world’s most efficient liquid rocket engines, apply advanced materials and analysis solutions to expand into long-duration space propulsion technologies such as nuclear and electric propulsion, and build launch vehicles and in-orbit/long-distance vehicles for deploying advanced instrumentation, collecting/extracting materials, and supporting sustainable space travel initiatives.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Baseline material properties indicate substantial heat transfer capability, with diamond conducting heat at least 3 times better than advanced alloys such as GRCop-42, the current research state of the art (SOA). Diamond is also significantly lighter than production SOA materials such as Rhe-1%, Novaloy, Inconel 718, and conventional superalloy compositions. Its low thermal expansion and increased fatigue life support the material’s reusability and reliability over repeated use.

The forefront of space exploration is limited by a shortage of space infrastructure to support the instrumentation needed to paint a clearer picture of the unknown universe. Harnessing, allocating, and importing resources and energy from space advances the nation’s geopolitical, economic, and social welfare.

We meet these needs faster, cheaper, and with sound engineering, directly supporting the upcoming needs of industry and government-aligned shortfalls. By developing new materials, analysis techniques, and manufacturing methods for components, engines, and vehicles, we lower the barrier to entry for the space economy.
